Wheelchair Transportation
Wheelchair Transportation in Greater Charlotte
A wheelchair ride should not depend on which family member can take the morning off. Ride in your own chair, with a driver who handles the boarding and the securement and stays with you to the check-in desk.
Who Wheelchair Rides Are For
This is the ride for people who use a wheelchair every day, and for people who can stand and transfer but can’t manage the long walk in from a parking deck. It suits residents of assisted living and skilled nursing communities heading to appointments, and riders coming home from the hospital who need a chair just for the trip, which we can bring.
How a Wheelchair Ride Works
Book ahead.
Call or use the form. Tell us about the chair, the addresses, and whether someone is riding along.
We come inside.
Your driver comes to the door, helps you out to the van, and takes the walkway at your pace.
Secured before we move.
Your chair is strapped down and you are belted in. The van doesn’t move until both are done.
Checked in, then home.
The driver walks you to the front desk. For the trip home, the driver brings you back inside your own door.

Common Questions
Do I have to bring my own wheelchair?
Bring yours if you have one, since it’s set up for you. If you don’t, ask when you book and we’ll bring one of ours.
Do you take power wheelchairs and scooters?
Tell us when you book. We’ll confirm the chair can be secured in the van before we say yes.
Can someone ride with me?
Yes. One family member or caregiver rides along at no charge.
How far ahead do I need to book?
At least 24 hours. Nights, weekends, and holidays are available by advance booking, with an after-hours fee.
Are you an ambulance?
No. We are non-emergency transportation for riders who are stable and ready to travel. In an emergency, always call 911.
