Ambulatory Transportation
Ambulatory Transportation in Greater Charlotte
An ambulatory ride is for the rider who walks, with a cane, a walker, or just a little more time than they used to need. The driver comes to the door, stays close on the steps, and doesn’t leave until they’re checked in.
Who Ambulatory Rides Are For
This is the ride for people who get around on their own but shouldn’t be driving, and for people who could take a taxi but want someone who will walk them in and make sure they reach the right desk. It suits riders with a cane or a walker, and riders whose family can’t be there for every appointment.
How an Ambulatory Ride Works
Book ahead.
Call or use the form at least 24 hours before. Tell us about the walker or cane, the addresses, and whether someone is riding along.
At your door.
Your driver knocks, walks beside you on the steps, and matches your pace to the van.
A calm ride.
You settle in, and the walker rides along. The driver takes the route without any rush.
All the way inside.
The driver walks you to the front desk, and on the way home, back to your own door.
